Hello all, I am using magnet wire for speaker cables and not sure what gauge is enough. I just added a 20 gauge strand to my previous 22/26/26 gauge and noticed my speakers don't seem so bright. I would rather go by sound engineering practive than just my ears as a guide.
Specifics are:
Speaker cable length: 12 feet
Gauge: 1 strand 20 gauge / 1 strand 22 gauge / 2 strands 26 gauge magnet wire.
Amp: Parasound Zamp rated at 12 amp peak current.

Speaker: Seas W12CT003 run full range - no x-over

Should I go with 2 strands of 20 gauge?
Is it even necessary to use the 2 strands of 26 gauge.I heard they are for high frequency as they have less skin effect?
Thanks
