RE: How to clean Chassis/Components ?

I need the answer too.

However, both MEK and acetone are carcinogenic. MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) is a particularly powerful carcinogen. Acetone was banned as a nail polish remover because of its carcinogenic properties.

I've used some Formula 409 on a particularly nasty Pioneer SX-1250. On the transformer and metal parts, anyway. I've stayed away from the circuit boards and the front panel.
