I make a commercial line amp, and I use 2.2µF as the output cap value. It's a very robust circuit, drive-wise, and I provide parallel outputs in case my guy wants to drive, say, a plate amp as well as the main amp. In this case, the composite load seen by the circuit could drop below 10K, and the bass might be a bit rolled off.
This is the predicament of the commercial builder; that we don't know what sort of an environment the piece will find itself in down the road, and so must provide for any reasonable eventuality. If you know the Zin of your power amp, and it's up in the usual range of 100K or so, you can confidently go with a 1µF cap there without bass degradation, and get the sonic benefit (slightly greater transparency) of the smaller value.
