If it has a duplex receptacle on the end of it, it's no longer technically a dedicated line, even though the usage is "dedicated" to one appliance. A duplex plug is still two plugs.

Dedicated lines typically have a SINGLE (Not DUPLEX) non-locking or locking receptacle, identifiable by the single plug in the middle of a cover plate with a single round hole. Typical dedicated branch circuits are - stove and dryer at home (non-locking) or in commercial or industrial, twist-locking varieties.

That does not mean, however, that you still can't USE it for a single "dedicated" appliance. There are a number of ways to do this.

1) Use a duplex receptacle and just don't plug anything else in (common)
2) Use a split receptacle with two circuits
3) Use a single "appliance" receptacle with one circuit

I would just run two circuits with a duplex receptacle (non-split) at the end of each, with each receptacle being about 2 - 3 feet off center of the back wall. This way, cords going to each receptacle (which are on different circuts) are not routed in proximity to one another.

Oh, if you're going to spend $200 on Oyanide OFC cryogenically treated gold plated "audiophile grade" receptacles, do open your amp and replace all of the 25 cent crimp, Sta-kon(tm) disconnect and butt-splice connections with properly soldered and insulated joints! ;) Then again, most audiophiles don't care what's in the wall, breaker box or inside the amp. They only worry about what can be over-killed CONVENIENTLY at any cost! (Like the $2000 appliance cord on a standard house branch circuit).

Also, be sure to route all interconnects away from power cords. Interconnects that are too long and dangle down close to power cords is far too common IME.

Cheers,
Presto
