Hi.
This is 'stopper diode' used to stop any DC backup to adjacent DC circuits. I won't call it "decoupling" which technically means something else.
I used one 1N4007 as HV stopper diode to power each channel of my EL-34 PP power stage. This is a good practice.
BTW, what tubes only need 34V HV supply ??????
