A few years back my son up graded a pair of JBL 100s for my brother.
Bypassed, disconnected, those adjustable frequency pots on the crossover network.
Changed out the caps in the crossover network.
Changed out the speaker internal wiring.
Installed new binding posts.

Drivers, keep the original.
Make sure to keep the polarity correct in both speaker boxes when rewiring.
