Passive Linestage Cable Load

If I'm using a passive linestage with one output going to a power amp and a live parallel output going to a headphone amp that is on but has no headphones plugged in, is there an additional load on the passive unit vs. what would be there if I were to unplug the cables to the "on" headphone amp? In other words, does a plugged-in cable/live amp combo present a load if speakers (headphones) are not connected?
