I'd found that problem I thought a month ago. However, the way things get cached with Apache, I'm not sure that the fix got fully loaded and some processes may have been running the old code base. I just rebooted the server to eliminate that as a possibility and it seems fine to me anyway.
Let me know if it's still a major problem. There's still a chance that the search app might be causing part of the problem intermittently causing database access issues. That's a much harder problem to fix.
