Thanks for the suggestions. The red and blue arrows could help as long as I always remember to log in. I can also see how using the back button could help by making sure the posts I've read are highlighted by Firefox. I will try again to navigate the various viewing and sorting options and see if I can find a combination that works.

OTOH, having a pure date sort would make it a lot less complex and more user-friendly for those of us who are not so computer savvy. I'm willing to deal with the lack of quotes in order to have a quick simple way to catch up on topics I'm trying to follow.

If you decide to add this option, I would prefer having the oldest posts at the top. Of course, people who prefer the current options could keep using them.
