My room size keeps changing, according to AA

This is mystifying. No matter how many times I fix the room size in my Inmate Systems listing to its true 18 x 40' size, it ALWAYS shows up as 40 x 40'. I've noticed many other Inmates with these square rooms and assume they're suffering the same fate. What's going on? I mean, this is SERIOUS :-)
