It's not possible because it's a real pain to do it on the software side. The message is essentially in the db and in one message html page. The subject is in the db, the message, the replies, the thread files, the thread indexes and all the message reply html files and db entries. It's a ton of processing and a lot of data to update. The bottom line is that it's too much work and too much potential for bugs and corruption for a limited value.

You can delete and repost to correct a subject.
