have you guys ever considered setting up an asylum for people new to the hobby? the 'pro's' on this forum have a wealth of knowledge, which can be easily searched, but often the uninformed or misinformed may not get much help from the asylum at large with little questions. Also, what about a 'poor kids' asylum? a place for 'philes on a budget to trade ideas without people with $30,000 amplifiers being involved? maybe the newbie and poor kid asylum could be one in the same...just a thought. i doubt most inmate's started off with Halcro amps & Wilson speakers, ya know?
