Firefox 1.0 does not work well with Search

I just downloaded Firefox 1.0 which I really like using.
When I want to select "All Forums" from the "From Forum" drop down box the drop down menu disappears off the bottom of my screen and I can't scroll down to "All Forums".
This means I can't use Firefox as I use search function extensively.
With IE6.0 the "drop down" box actually opens going up as the IE browser recognizes there is insufficient space below to open.
