Check will be a counterfeit. Just ignore any further emails from this character... don't even bother telling him you're passing on his offer.

For future reference... here's a few little indicators if you receive an email about your ad that will tip you off that it's a scam:

They do not mention the specific piece you're selling (i.e. they say "I am interested in your item for sale").

They ask you questions that are clearly answered in the ad, or they ask for pictures when the ad provides pictures.

They offer to pay you an extra "fee" for holding the amp for pick up. Or they say they will send X amount more than you're asking price, and ask you to re-imburse them the difference when you ship.

There are other indicators, but these ones are the most popular to use, as they tend to work (unfortunately).
