Without your password, no one can access your Paypal account, withdraw funds, send money, etc.

Now... what they may be hoping for is that you're inept and your password to your Paypal account is "1234" or "password" or your email address again, or your last name, something stupid like that.

A good password that's virtually crack-proof is at least 8 characters long, consisting of both numbers and letters, with at least 1 letter capitalized.

So in other words... rest easy and just ignore the scammer filth :)
