Jerry, listen to me:

1. It's a scam.

2. Do not send any more replies.

3. Change your email address.

4. Run a virus scanner on your computer.

5. Do not engage in further communication with him.

There are several angles that this person may be pursuing: hijacking your email address, using your computer to distribute mass spam, writing a fake money order for an amount higher than necessary and asking you to write him a check for the overage, and on and on.

You do NOT want this guy to know where you live, you do NOT want his "shipper" to show up at your door, and you do NOT want to write him a check for any overage.

However, some people in your position can't resist the urge to try to play detective with these guys. I hope you're not one of them. Trust me, these guys are better at their game than you are.
