you are right, if he could have a do-over, he would definitely do some things differently. what i find annoying is that some people, like you, have responded here in a variation of 'blame the victim'. the seller is a cheat. that's it. the buyer made some mistakes in not protecting himself during the process, as others have noted, but still a few of you are calling the seller potentially 'reasonable', etc. ridiculous.
