"Did paypal cancel your account?"
NO! Paypal is no match for a major bank. Paypal and AudiogoN were really of no help whatsoever. AudiogoN did cancel the seller's account, but that wasn't enough pressure for him to comply. Paypal just sent the seller warnings. Your credit card bank is the only saving grace. I've actually done this twice, once for an item with shipping damage that the seller wished to ignore, and another time because the item was misrepresented (beta test cables, not production models as stated in the ad), and the seller also wished to ignore me.
Both times my bank had me ship the items to Paypal. I got my credit card account cleared, and was done with the problem. I do not know how Paypal resolved the issue from there, but I really don't care. My Paypal account has not been affected at all. Obviously, when making a major purchase, I use a credit card through Paypal, that 3% fee is worth the peace of mind for me.
