I went thru a lawyer in his state (NJ) and because of the amount it was initially set-up to go thru the intermediater. It was at that point (21/2 months later) that as my customer (initials BC) showed up for the hearing, my lawyer and the intermediater, they called me on my cell and we negotiated the settlement. Yes, I could have said no and the next step was for me to go down there in person for a trial.
