Is that was these scammers do - wait for someone to resign and then hijack or - did the guy perhaps resign because he had been hijacked.

except, instead of an inquiry, the guy said he had tried to PAY me (for something I wasn't selling) and the payment had come back. It was Ebay UK as well.
