I recently built class A2 811A monoblocks. Uses Mosfet Source Follower, James 5K output transformer with -ve KFB windings.
The filament supply for 811A is LCLCL.
The sound is powerful, punchy and not bright.
Before this I had built low powered 845 amps, with a 300B driver.
