RE: SETs in an active 4-way system?

Thanks for the reply.

The crossover is digital. My only source is an optimized computer and there I run Acourate, with which I can do digital crossovers, driver linearization and time alignment. The computer feeds an 8-channel DAC, then each channel drives an amp, which in turn drives a speaker driver directly.

You said "For the tweeter and ST keep them at 8ohms or above if you want to use tube amps". What do you mean by ST?

Unfortunately the tweeters I have in mind are not 8 ohm. They are 5 ohm and 102 dB sensitivity. Do you think that would be a deal breaker? On paper it seems I would hardly ever use 1W RMS. I don't know about transients, though.

"I have also run active low pass and passive high pass. It's a good arrangement".
Is this in a 3-way system?
