The crossover is digital. My only source is an optimized computer and there I run Acourate, with which I can do digital crossovers, driver linearization and time alignment. The computer feeds an 8-channel DAC, then each channel drives an amp, which in turn drives a speaker driver directly.

Unfortunately the tweeters I have in mind are not 8 ohm. They are 5 ohm and 102 dB sensitivity. Do you think that would be a deal breaker? On paper it seems I would hardly ever use 1W RMS. I don't know about transients, though.

Is this in a 3-way system?
