All the thoriated tx tubes I have used in A2 have had a very bright , clear , forward sound . Very different from carbon filament types such as 45 , 300B , 2A3 etc run in A1 . I would expect 811A to also sound this way . You'll need some feedback , if going with this type , look for an output transformer with a cathode feedback tap
