In the case of a well designed active tube linestage, this is literally all you need to do. Be sure to run the volume control through it's whole range, just to see if there are any minimums.
If you were to buy a sub-$100 tube "preamp" on eBay that ran something like a 12AU7 on a 50-60V switching supply, despite having a 50-100K volume control pot, operational issues with the tube itself would drop the input impedance down to 1K or so. (I don't think you'll run into that issue)
