Cathode bypass caps are extremely critical. They are in the signal path. Don't get too complicated with it. Try not to use more then 2 caps in parallel.
Bypassing a lytic with 1 FFPP works well. Forgetting the lytic and just using a FFPP cap is better. If you like PIO caps, then use those.
