The question was rather general in nature. If I had money and courage I'd do 845 PSE or GM70 at 1.2kV but it's not happening any time soon.
Bass enclosure is not tuned. It's going to be either 2x Tad 1602 (15") in 12-14 Cu ft closed box or 2x 10" in 4-5 cu,ft closed box. I would like to have reasonable bass from both. TAD is not a bass driver although has 21 hz Fs but it is what it is. 10" are nice but have only 88-89Db each so ~91dB for a pair. Should be OK for small room. Upper ranges will handle Tannoy 10" Red in 2.5 Cu ft or possibly some horns in Grand scheme or Tannoy or Living Voice Avatar if the room will be small In either case I think 25W should be more or less OK, good enough for who it is for ...So far I have PSU parts . 510-0-510 /0.7A , 10H/500mA choke ,6x1200V/8A stealth rectifiers , 2x4000uF/550V (may consider adding another few thousand uF )
Something like KT120 PSE with 100ma /~480V ...
Don't get me wrong , I learned to enjoy 45 , 2a3 , 300B SETs on their own.
Simply trying to figure out if I can make sensible SET/SEP bass amp on the cheap with parts I already have and looking for the tube known for good bass. TIA W
