Admittedly unfamiliar with the Transcendent line, I think I'd still go with the Bottlehead product. Their tech support is very good and their support forums are worth the price of admission. I've build a BH Seduction phono preamp a few years ago which is still giving me trouble free service. I nearly pulled the trigger on their Paramount mono blocks along with a Bee Pre preamp kit, but ultimately wanted an integrated solution and ended up working on an Audio Note Kit 1 instead. But the BH stuff is really excellent.
