My brother and I happened to be in the USA, many years ago (2006 I think). We visited the RTI plant with Chad from Acoustic Sounds and attended a CES show where we met John Atkinson, a real gentleman. We briefly discussed best sound at the show and the most interesting rooms.
The Von Gaylord room is burned into our memories with their 300W liquid cooled amps driving a pair of Gaylord bookshelves (can't remember model numbers). The sound was impressive and these relatively small speakers had no right to sound the way they did, so powerful and with such authority but musical and seemingly distortion free. I've no doubt that the amps had a lot to do with it and We have had great respect for the brand ever since!
