I didn't know John did that.
I thought he just used the PP transformer the way they came?
Some PP transformers have larger unintentional gaps than others and some PP transformers have intentional gaps.
I think Dave Slagle explains that before the whole core saturates, the core material around the gap saturates and "creates" the needed gap.
Whatever is going on, I thought that John just used the organ PP output transformers for his SE amps the way they were made without any modification.
