Hi,
I have my 300b tube run with B+410v, 85ma, Rk 750ohm, 2k7 OPT, 8Ohm tap.
To switch to your suggested, I guess I could just replace the cathode resistor with 1Kohm, and use the 4Ohm tap?
How much power do I expect to drop?
Does this work with only 8Ohm speakers? My speakers are the AN-E with the hemp cones, which has 6Ohm impedance I think. Will you expect the 350v/60ma/4Ohm tap to work?
On the other hand, to squeeze a few more watts from the 300b amp (which is more applicable in my case with the speakers I have) what is a reasonable operating point? The amp is 2stage with a single c3g triode wired driving a 1:1 bifilar IT, lithium battery bias in the gird.
Thanks. Vi
