I built a amplifier prototype with a 1/2 6SN7 as pre amplificador and a 12B4A as driver for a 2A3C output tube.
The sound is excellent and I like it.
The power is good, the 6SN7 stage have a gain of 15 and the 12B4A a gain of 4. Gain of the two stages is 60.
This gain is ok, or is best I use as driver other section of the 6SN7 ?
I use a CD player with output voltage of 2V rms as source.
