Using a tube like the AA32B-S or some of the newer derivatives of the 300B?? You get more power and a similar sound...the quality of these tubes is also superb!
Another thought; JJ makes a 2A3 tube that is as powerful as a 300B (it has 40 watt plate dissipation) and is not often used but should deliver about 8 watts and maybe will sound even better than a 300B!
