I am unfamiliar with both, but from the reports I have accumulated / read over the past decade or so, I think large(ish) plate pentode or DHT drivers will be more to my liking, each for different resons.
IDHT's seem to be compromises (aren't all tubes), though offer more system matching flexibility and can be done for lower cost. Pentodes have less ability to drive a DHT at close to its limits (not an issue in a suitable system); 2-stage, largish plate DHTs lack the gain of most input/driver IDHTs and therefore require step-up transformers and/or high output voltages from a previos stage (they also require well-managed filaments and microphonics etc).
Not long now until I test this stuff first hand.
Cheers.
