Oops! I misspoke. My Syl Metals are in fact "W"s (and nearly unobtainium now), wish I had more... I also have some tall bottle VT-231 black base that are very nice.

I don't know how expensive they are these days, but I have a pair of Syl GTA brown-base short bottles that sound very good too. They were only $30-40 bucks when I bought them 10 years ago.

I would love to hear a report of a new 6sn7 that can compete with the best.
