Based on my personal encounters with Israel via phone, emails and in person I`ve have no reason at all to question his motives. Your experiences are different and I can except that. At one time he offered the KR tubes as an upgrade and of course wants his customers to get the most from his products, so it would seem counter productive to take his current position without a track record of repeated tube failures in his amplifiers. I don`t know if the Shuguang Treasure series is better than the KR or not, it is wonderful sounding, and so far (400 hours)reliable.
