It was simply a suggestion, not that I don't understand the differences. Sorry that my words I gave you that impression I didn't know the difference between SE and Push Pull. What I was suggetsing is that the Push Pull topology would probably be better in this experiment.
As the length of a single ended cable connection increases, physics show that the distributed series inductance and distributed parallel capacitance can be one of the factors in High Frequency roloff.
Some RCA cable manufacturers can control this rolloff by expensive manufacturing techniques and costly cable geometries, not the case here when you have a hefty length solid or stranded high voltage wire, unlike the centimeters length used for the primary connection on SE amps and the quality of the leads on the transformer.
Now whether this effect is worse at 400V/80 ma vs. 8/16 Ohms/1 amp is a test I was suggesting would be good to compare when saying that a Push Pull geometry would fare better sonically that SE in this case.
The push pull example I provided was just to illustrate that Balanced Signal transfer has shown to suffer less from noise and HF roloff than a Single ended connection when using simple cable geometries.
Heck, this is up to now all hypothetical until the tests are actually done with this type of architecture.
The limitations are greater when driving a SE primary as one is limited to two wires or three if ultra-linear vs a balanced connection inherent in a push pull output stage.
I found the post entertaining, sorry if I ruffled some feathers here. Just putting a little humor. Sometimes technical words and a bit of humor come across differently.
