First I should point out that I now use all Don Allen equipment. Also I use a Brightstar little rock on top of my CD unit. Together they are fantastic.
When I first obtained Don's CD player I was using an Esoteric DV50S, Sony SCD-1, and a Cary 303. Don's player was the best of the bunch and it cost a whole lot less. I have sold all the other players except for the Sony since I still have some SACDs that I listen to now and than. The vast majority of the time I use Don's units. (I have two)
