hey-Hey!!!,
If your power TX can't supply your PP amp with Class A idle current, don't expect it to be able to run current to a SE amp. Now for a given B+ and idle current, one can increase the load line suffiently. 350V of B+ will leave you able to run 100 mA per KT88. The lowest load to deliver Class A operation with a 200 mA idle current is aabout 1k5 R; as Jeff mentioned...build quality held constant it can indeed be high bandwidth.
