They are meant for quick connect and disconnect, on a piece of test equipment. They have bowed "tines" which act as a pressure fit until they are bent from use. They will never be optimal in contact pressure, and surface area and mass to pass a broadband dynamic music signal, with its high peak current requirement, so they sound like sh*t compared to an old fashioned terminal.
