I am thinking of using a full range Altec or JBLansing 8" speaker in a baffleless design. As for price range, well under a grand for pre and power amps. It looks like you are an amp builder? I may be interested in building a kit, probably using a PCB instead of alot of point to point wiring, although that last point is not written in stone.
