I was taking what Paul stated as fact
and postulating from there.
Also preamp/source output impedances
are usually much lower than the
5K that he stated that he had so
a stepdown is needed.
Also where bass is concerned
drive is more important than gain
to get the good deep tight bass.
Yes a 10K:150 is a 8:1 stepdown voltagewise.
Most integrated amps have gain to waste.
I would think he would need an itegrated to
balance the volume with his other amp.
