makes it tough to get systems that please me.
I hear above 20KHz so metal domes are out.
Transients also drive me crazy
when not reproduced properly so
planars not driven well drive me nuts.
Jitter is really annoying to me so
all DACs must be reclocked.
My brother's CAL CL-10 player was reclocked by PCX
to my great relief - he barely noticed the change.
This is what it takes so that I will not hate it.
If it falls short on ANY of the above items then
I would describe it as unlistenable to me.
Now you know why I had to build my own system,
started with speakers, then amp, then DAC and
finally I have an Hagerman Octal Cornet done -
just debugging it right now (I have a hum).
