I've had my irreplaceable Altec A-7's 15's hooked up to an OTL (no passive xover)that had 8 tube failures and 6 fuses pop (output fuses) until I got the bugs ironed out. No speaker damage and the amp runs solid as a rock now. But yeah, it's got -some- feedback, about 6dB. I think OTL = speaker damage is an over-wrought fallacy from the past.
I *like* the loudness button!
