I would recommend the Tube DIY forum then.
That's my home stomping grounds.

I have built several amps myself - FUN 8^D
My last is by far my favorite, a SE with 6P5 driver.
Output tubes EL34, 6L6, KT66, 6550, KT88 or KT90.
Genelex Re-Issue KT66 (Best you are there sound)
TungSol Re-Issue 6L6G (Best they are here sound)
