Peter Q has said on several occasions that all things being equal, he prefers 300B's singly, 2A3's in parallel. His personal Kageki's sound marvelous. Ben Jacobi of High End Audio Repair, prefers 300B's used singly.
In comparing my Neiros (parallel 2A3's for those who don't know this) with its otherwise equal brother in the AN line, the single 300B Shinris, I found them both superb - the latter a bit more refined and controlling, the former more passionate and unrestrained with better bass. I considered the Shinris Mozart amps, the Neiros Beethovens.
All of this said, PQ also says that the P4 monoblocks (parallel 300B's) are better than the Neiros. Now doesn't that stir up the damn soup.
