I did say that the amps was great two times in probably four sentences. I did say it "seemed" wimpy (to me) and that it ran a little hot? Not a criticism but just an observation. I also said it would be hard to find a commercial amp that sounded better. I talked to Don on many occassions before we ordered parts for my amp and you are correct he uses what he uses for specific reasons. His view at the time (2003) was that he used a power TX to do the required job and no more which is his design choice. I am not being critical.
