I have a pair of early Svetlana 300Bs that have about 9800 hours on them and still perform great. My amp runs them close to the classical 300B operating point. I run them at 360V, 65ma, -75V into a 4K OPT. I get 6.5 watts. I don't understand way people run the crap out of their tubes. In order to get 10W out of a 300B you have to run them close to their max. However, the difference between 6.5W and 10W is less then 2dB. Treat your tubes nicely, and they will last for a good while.
