Darling/1626-based amp..signature sound?

Hi -

I'm real curious if there's anyone to share some thoughts on this common DIY project amp with regard to the overall signature sound of the 1626 tube? 3/4 watt per channel intrigues me.

Also, being a non-DIYer, it appears that this amp is mostly something of a DIY project, not typically sold commerically. I've been looking at Johannnes' design over at LeBong Audio but curious on other builders.
