Given your quest for the "best", and at the level you are presumably discussing (very high), you hardly expect one amp (one OPT, etc) to produce outstanding sound reproducing signals from dc to daylight?
2) You need to optimise the amp to yr spkrs. That's easy -- get the manufacturer to do it.
So, to contribute to recommendations:
a) I dislike the 300b tube products, so would readily go for 211, 1610, maybe 845 or similar;
b) I would make sure one of the amps' circuit OPT is intended for mid-bass downward use; the other for mid-range upward. Also get the supplier to give you passive line-level x-over for the amps to match.
If you're cost no object, might as well do it nicely! In fact, you're better off using 3 levels of amplification; in which case, the ubiquitous 2A3 or even (shudder) 300B can be used -- for high frequencies.
