You probably didnt' really miss out. Those (Cobalt 2a3 mesh) were probably THE most problematic AVVT tube ever made. Many failed in the field, with no warning. I had a pair once (NOS) that I sold for a friend, not sure how they ended up or worked out, they fetched good money but personally I'd stick with the regular 2a3 avvt mesh, those were a lot more reliable. I still have a couple pairs but haven't tried them at all lately. Very nice looking tube, hard to come by these days. Sadly I think they will never be remade like that again (true mesh, not just mesh window ala EML)
